After leaving school I trained to be a hairdresser at The Hylton Centre in Sunderland for three years. I then worked at Toni&Guy for a while but decided to retrain as a dental nurse. I worked in a local dental practice throughout my training at the Tyne and Wear Chamber of Commerce, and qualified in 2007, passing the National Certificate in Dental Nursing.
I now have the opportunity to work with Mr Vaughan and I am excited to be involved with the team here in Merle Terrace. Mr Vaughan has been retraining to carry out new and interesting procedures that I have never had the chance to be involved in. I am looking forward to learning and assisting him within the surgery.

I live in Sunderland with my partner, two cats and two dogs. I love Facebook and internet shopping.

Sheryn Vaughan

David’s wife Sheryn, has spent all of her working life welcoming people and putting them at their ease. Having spent a long and interesting career as an airline cabin manager flying all over the world, she decided to give up her ‘wings’ and landed as the practice receptionist five years ago. Sheryn knows the practice’s patients so well she can recognise them from their telephone voice. When she is not working Sheryn has a passion for shopping, particularly for shoes and handbags!

Keliegh - Receptionist and Dental Nurse

Hi, my name is Keleigh and i have already met or spoken to some of you.
After leaving school i decided to train as a dental nurse. I joined the North East Chamber of Commerce for my training and joined a local dental practice in Sunderland for my placement.
I qualified in 2005 passing the National Certificate in Dental Nursing.
I joined David Vaughan Dental Practice in January 2010 after returning from a trip to Australia.
I really enjoy working here as there are so many different treatments that Mr Vaughan does that i have never beeninvolved before.
I work with the Hygienist and with Sheryn in reception. I am now trained in using Oral Insights - the new Tooth Brushing gadget for kids. I look forward to meeting everyone i haven't met very soon.
